When I started this blog, I wanted to write a book for my family not to be published, but to share stories that would give some insight into our early years. Several years back, family members told me I needed to be on Facebook so I could keep up with things going on with family and friends. The one thing I have never been short of is opinions and I have shared many of them on Facebook. I never expected everyone to agree with every opinion I held, but as many of us have experienced, Facebook censors spent a lot of money and time controlling what could be shared. I created this blog website so I would have a way to share stories and opinions and no company could control what I said or delete the message.
Some of my stories are about things or events that might prompt a smile or a laugh or two, while others are about sad events. I usually try to keep posts fairly short, because viewers don’t want to spend a lot of time reading a lot of information when they are just trying to “catch up” on what is going on. Trying to tell stories in a “CliffsNotes” format leaves gaps that can be confusing. I try to use facts to explain my opinion on subjects and if it is on a religious issue, I use Bible verses. I don’t assume that my comments or information provided has changed anyone’s opinion on any subject. However, it may be some information that has not been considered before.
I have been surprised by how many views my posts have received and how many are from other places around the world. I started my blog in July 2022 after Eva passed away and many of my first posts were about my feelings of losing her and about her. Other posts have covered a wide range of subjects with some being more interesting than others. So far, my posts have been viewed in 52 countries collectively.
