As I was listening to Christmas music as I do this time each year, I had songs on my playlist from years ago. I had included songs by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Then this song began playing that I had not heard in years. There are other versions of songs where each letter in Christmas has a meaning, but this message spoke to me as a reminder of why we celebrate Christmas.
C-h-r-i-s-t-m-a-s
C is for the Christ child who died for us.
H is for the Heavens above.
R is for the Righteousness He teaches us.
I is for His Image we love.
S is for the Strength He sends our way.
T is for the Times He forgives.
M is for the Miracles He performs each day.
A is for the Answers to the prayers we send.
S is for the Savior we all adore at Christmas and forevermore.
