God Had a Plan

From an early age, you had a plan that included me.
I was so young that I had no plan for the next day.
We learned to dance together while still children, but did not walk together.
With the passing of time, you had your doubts that you would be in my plans.
Our paths crossed often through the years, but we never walked together.
At times I was sure of where my plans would take me, but that did not include you.
With each disappointment when my plan fell short, I would make a new plan.
That new plan did not include you, because you were not on my radar.
Then one day, we got together without any plan of our own.
Nothing serious I thought, I had no plan at all.
But serious it got, who would have thought?
We had known each other for so many years and I would have never thought.
I know now that God had a plan for my life because He had heard about your plan.
