The Rest of the Story

Face of Evil

Throughout the Bible, the word “evil” appears frequently, accompanied by explicit descriptions of actions that God identifies as evil. It is also clear that people who participate in those actions are evil. Do not accept my words as evidence; read the Bible, and see what God says. You may disagree with my perspective on current events, and you are entitled to do so. All I ask is that you provide Bible verses that support your feelings.

Mental illness is not new, and actions that the medical industry defines as harmful can be found in the Bible. Terms like depraved, demon, and demonic are terms you can Google search for to see examples. A one-sentence summary of the Bible would be, “God is good, and Satan is evil.” Another summary would be, “God is the narrow gate, and Satan is the wide gate.”

The clash between “right and wrong” began in the Garden of Eden at the suggestion of Satan or Lucifer, as he was known before his fall. Many nations in history have worshipped pagan gods, as noted in the Bible. The Old Testament is about God’s relationship with Israel, His chosen people, and their struggles to follow His commands. It foretells the future coming of the Messiah, who will lead them here on Earth. The New Testament is about Jesus fulfilling the prophecies and providing a path (the narrow gate) for salvation to both Israelites and Gentiles. The term Gentile is used to describe anyone who is not of Jewish descent.

America has been on a slippery slope since the 1960s; however, a graph depicting the march toward evil would show a major increase over the past fifteen years and even more so within the past ten years. At the core of that is the LGBTQ movement. This has led many adolescents to move from the confusion of puberty to accepting misconceptions about their feelings.  Those lies are followed by even more harm that leads to mental illness. When the entertainment industry glorifies that lifestyle and governments support it and give it special protections, that tells the confused child that they should be happy because that is who they are. Fifteen years ago, any man who claimed they was a woman would be treated for mental illness. Fifteen years ago, only a few people would have fallen for the lies about COVID-19 or accepted being locked down and locked out of their church.

The killer of those children and the eighteen others who were shot yesterday, Robert/Robin Westman, is a current example of evil. He is now feeling the punishment for his actions. The Nashville Christian shooter also identified as trans and published her desire to kill children and Christians. These others also identified as trans: the Lakewood Church shooter, the Colorado Springs shooter who identified as nonbinary, the Denver shooter, the Aberdeen shooter, and the Iowa high school shooter was a trans activist. We still do not know the details of the New York shooter from Las Vegas. We do not know all of the details about the Uvalde school shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, who fatally shot 19 students and 2 teachers, while injuring 17 others. We were told he had been bullied and had mental problems, but is there more we should know? Ten people, eight students and two teachers, were fatally shot, and thirteen others were wounded by a 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, at Santa Fe High School. He may never stand trial due to mental illness. Was he involved with trans ideas that led to his actions? We still have very little information about Thomas Crooks, who tried to kill President Trump.

Jesus has emphasized that anyone who misguides others, particularly children, will be held responsible in the same way. In Genesis 3, we see the serpent (Lucifer) enticing Eve to eat the fruit. By the time of Genesis 6, human society had become deeply wicked, and Noah was instructed to warn people about their immoral behavior.  God told him to build the Ark for the flood He would bring. For hundreds of years, they laughed at Noah and kept their evil ways (same sex, sex among family members, and sex with animals). God destroyed all but Noah’s family and the animals he had on the Ark.

Then again, in Genesis 18, Abraham is being told that the Lord will destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, two nations, due to their wickedness (same sex and sex among family members). Abraham tries to negotiate with the Lord to save Sodom and Gomorrah from destruction by finding fifty righteous men, and then down to only ten righteous men. Those nations had accepted as part of their laws sexual lifestyles prohibited by God. In Genesis 19, Lot tries to give his daughters to the men of Sodom for sex in exchange for the two angels whom the men wanted for sex. Lot was told to leave Sodom with his family and to not look back because Sodom and Gomorrah would be destroyed by fire. Lot’s wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Her name is not in the bible, but she is there as a warning to those who want to hold onto evil. Satan is the source of all evil, and it always starts with a little lie. “Maybe, would Jesus support something today that was viewed as wrong in the past?” “If I am hungry, surely it is okay if I take a candy bar without paying?” “I need money to buy gas, surely it is okay to steal a TV. “

Acts of sexual immorality are a gateway for Satan to convince you that more illegal actions are okay. Not long ago, any man would be arrested for exposing his genitals to a female or entering a women’s restroom. Never in my lifetime did I ever think that boys would be allowed to compete in girls’ sports, much less be allowed in their locker rooms. Our society has become EVIL.

Good has become evil, and evil has become good – in our laws.

Mark 7:20-23 New American Standard Bible
20 And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. 21 For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, 22 deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”

Isaiah 5:20 New American Standard Bible
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Romans 1:18-32 New American Standard Bible
Unbelief and Its Consequences
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four-footed animals, and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God gave them up to vile impurity in the lusts of their hearts, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, 27 and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper, 29 people having been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unfeeling, and unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

1 Timothy 4:1-4 New American Standard Bible
Abandonment of Faith
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 New American Standard Bible
Difficult Times Will Come
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these. For among them are those who slip into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
