The Rest of the Story

He Sees My Heart

This song should be a reminder that we are never alone, even when we are at our lowest and feelings cause pain to spread throughout our bodies. When we realize that we have not even met our own standards and cannot see any way out of the mess we are in, we are not alone.

We believe that God desires worship in the form of praise and thanksgiving for all He provides to us, but what God truly wants is a relationship with us. That relationship may include questions or even complaints when life does not seem fair. The Book of Job is not a story about everything going well for Job. It tells of a man who loves God, has everything, then has everything taken away, and he tells God how unhappy he is about that. Job never stopped talking to God or lost his faith, and that is what we are to learn from that story.

He Sees My Heart
When I’m angry without reason
At the world around
When I’m lonely
And it’s more than I can bear
When I can’t reach out for help
Because my hands are bound
He’s always there

When I doubt myself
And sorrow overwhelms me
I know He is there
And waits for me to call
Then I make things too important
And He tells me
It’s not at all

He sees my heart for what it is
He loves me even as I am
He hears me when I ask Him to forgive
My heart for what it is

Loving Him today is my tomorrow
To know the truth
And let it make me free
The time has come for me
To hand it over
I know that He loves me

He sees my heart for what it is
He loves me even as I am
He hears me when I ask Him to forgive
my heart for what it is
He sees my heart for what it is
He loves me even as I am
He hears me when I ask Him to forgive
my heart for what it is
